Attaining the BEHONEST\u00ae certification is a further step towards ensuring the effectiveness of our work and demonstrating even greater transparency to our donors.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong>Sara Turetta, President and Founder of Save the Dogs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of certification is to guarantee the credibility of those who work in the non-profit sector and to protect those who donate and invest in the field of social welfare, particularly at a time like the present, when public spending is greatly reduced and when those who need assistance but cannot receive it from the State are reliant on the voluntary Third or Community Sector as their point of reference.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Further to <strong>formal and thorough authenticity checks<\/strong>,<em> BEHONEST\u00ae, <\/em>a non-profit organization that <strong>certifies, assesses and promotes the quality of the data of non-profit and voluntary sector bodies<\/strong>, has granted certification in favor of <em><strong>SAVE THE DOGS<\/strong>,<\/em> an association which is at the forefront in countering the number of uncontrolled births of dogs and cats which leads to an increase in the quantity of strays, while working in parallel to improve the quality of life of animals living on the streets, and cases where adoption is not feasible.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the <em><strong>Save the Dogs<\/strong><\/em> audit process, BEHONEST\u00ae focused on seven key areas of interest: <strong>legal compliance, transparency, management and human resources, operational and social management, accounting, administrative and economic policy, sustainability, fundraising and technical analysis of performance<\/strong>. BEHONEST\u00ae was also able to carry out an in-depth verification of the way in which <em><strong>Save the Dogs<\/strong><\/em> has made transparency and accountability integral aspects of their core, indispensable values. The association\u2019s annual financial statements, social reports, statutes and organigrams are all freely available for consultation on the website.<\/p>\n<p>Another positive factor that has been identified is the confirmation of the association&#8217;s solid revenue structure, both in terms of total income and in terms of diversification (5 distinct elements contribute significantly to the total result).
