As you may probably know, taking care of a dog also means protect him against heartworm, a disease which in summer may affect the animal’s heart leading him to death. Protecting the 600 guests in our shelters is a duty that Save the Dogs has to perform in spring time.
The costs that we face for the purchase of the necessary medication to prevent the infection are very high and subtract funds to our daily activities of assistance and first aid: this is the reason why today I am asking you to help our team cover the cost of at least one treatment against heartworm.
